Hello all, I am leaving my gorgeous apartment in Waikiki at the end of June- you could move in as early as June 22. Great area on the Ewa side of Waikiki, right between Kuhio and the Ala Wai (Canal):
417 Namahana Street- you can Yahoo this.
Third floor, 1Br-ish (sliding doors between bedroom and living room)- more like a giant studio.
Stainless steel kitchen, tile floors, small balcony, ceiling fans, airy apt. Would be fine for a couple.
I talked to my landlord who said that she was going to rent the place for around $1100. It also has an easily accessible covered parking spot- almost unheard of on Waikiki (see pics, Audi not for sale I'm too ethical for that- a total POS).
This apartment has worked out great for me, and there's much less traffic on this end of Waikiki.

I was really hoping that the person who wanted to rent the apartment was also interested in the furniture- actually pretty nice and very cheap, would be very convenient to not have to shop for your own. You could just sell it to an incoming transitional next year. Here's the list of stuff for sale- see the pics.
  • Desk- $150
  • Platform bed w/ Sears mattress (I bought both of these new)- $350
  • Futon (full size)- also bought new, $175
  • Folding tables x6- very useful- $50
  • Plants- $30
  • Bench- $100
  • End table w/ drawer- $50
  • Bicycle (lock not included)- $200 (Gary Fisher Mountain bike, 19" frame, in great shape). It's pretty hard to get a good used mountain bike on this island.
