University of Hawaii Internal Medicine Residency Program

Scholarly Activites Sessions (formerly Academic Half-Day) is held every Tuesday from 12:30-4:30 pm at The Queen's Conference Center and/or the University Tower, Room 618.

From 12:30-1:30 pm the residents join the faculty for the Department of Medicine Grand Rounds (DOM GR).

After Grand Rounds, the residents meet for innovative resident-focused teaching sessions including:

 Board Review
Morbidity and Mortality Conference (M&M)
Oncology Case Conference
Clinical Pathological Case Conference (CPC)
Simulation training
Pulmonary and Critical Care Case Conference
Primary Care and Specialty Specific Topics
Resident Driven Sessions (Resident-driven sessions, with format and content designed by Chief Resident-Elects, are allocated to involve residents in their own learning.)
Town Hall Sessions Program Director's meetings and other sessions are also scheduled during this time.
