Upper-level residents may be eligible for a maximum of two off-island electives, one of which may be taken in the second year. These rotations include International Electives (on a case-by-case basis), rotations at another ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program, or with other faculty at an accredited school of medicine.
The Program also offers Neighbor island electives in Hilo in the island of Hawai’i and Moloka’i within the program.
