Marcie Dela Cruz gives birth to quintuplets at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children on October 10, 2015. "In Hawaii, Kosasa says the chance of having twins is one in 100 (six sets per month), triplets are one in 6,000 (once a year), and quadruplets one in 700,000 (one in 10 years), and quintuplets are one in 55 million."

Steven Ward, Ph.D., Director of the Institute for Biogenesis Research has been chosen as the first Lakshmi Devi and Devraj Sharma Endowed Chair Recipient for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health. Dr. Ward holds dual appointments in Anatomy, Biochemistry & Physiology and Ob/Gyn, February 4, 2015.
