University of Hawaii Psychiatry Fellowship Program

Research is essential to the development of new knowledge in our field and informs clinical practice. In addition, research skills are a unique set of skills that complements the clinical skills in the development of a sound clinician. As such, research is a key component in our training program and research training, mentorship, and other essential resources are available to residents. Child & adolescent psychiatry residents are expected to complete a clinical research project, present at a grand rounds and write a paper on the project. Paper submission for publications is strongly recommended and residents are supported in this endeavor.
