2010 Hawaii Addiction Conference: Save the Date



2010 HAWAI`I ADDICTIONS CONFERENCE: A PASSPORT OVER THE CULTURAL FRONTIERS OF ADDICTION will be held on Friday, March 19, at the Queen’s Conference Center. The conference will include sessions on:

* International Addiction Treatment Initiatives
* Neurocognitive & Neurobiological Effect of Methamphetamine
* Gambling and Sex Addiction
* Addiction & Perinatal Intervention
* Addiction Medicine & the Criminal Justice System
* Addiction & the Co-Morbid Patient
* Forensic Addiction Psychiatry
* Adolescent Addiction

This year’s keynote speaker will be Richard Rawson, Ph.D., Professor and Associate Director of the UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs. Dr. Rawson has led addiction research and training projects for the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the U.S. State Department, and will be speaking on “International Addiction Treatment Initiatives.” Residents that are interested in attending should request educational leave time, and must submit their registration form by March 12 – the cost of your registration will be covered by the Hawaii Residency Program.
